The average high for mid May is 92°. We’ll spend much of the week below that mark.

A low pressure trough over northern California cranks up the winds today. Expect southwest winds around 15-30 MPH, as daytime highs reach the upper 80s in the Old Pueblo. There is a slight chance at a few showers in the White Mountains this afternoon. Winds begin to weaken after sunset.

After reaching the low 90s Wednesday, a new storm system passes north of the state to wrap the work week. Gusty winds redevelop as soon as Thursday, easing off for Memorial Day weekend. Highs range from the mid 80s Friday to low 90s Sunday and Memorial Day. Ample sunshine prevails over the next 7 days.
