THE CLIFF NOTES
Today – 40% chance of storms. 91°, west-southwest wind 10-15 MPH.
Tonight – Partly cloudy late. 72°, southeast wind 5 MPH.
Tomorrow – Partly cloudy. 96°, west wind 10 MPH.
Thanks to what was Hurricane Blanca, a record amount of moisture for June fuels storms today.
This afternoon features a 40% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. There could be an uptick in activity if we see periods of sunshine, but chances are we’ll see plenty of clouds. Daytime highs reach the low 90s, with storm chances decreasing after sunset.
Most locations could see an additional 0.25″ rain between now and this evening.
Remnant moisture from Blanca begins to dry out tomorrow. Mountain locations stand a slight chance at a few storms, but most of southern Arizona is dry. A weak trough may touch off another round of mountain storms through early next week. Valley floors look to see plenty of sunshine with highs returning to triple digit territory as soon as Sunday.
