Plenty humid, but not a lot of thunderstorm activity this afternoon.

Mostly sunny skies are expected today. Lingering moisture from what was Hurricane Blanca may spark a stray mountain shower or thunderstorm. Valley floors remain dry with daytime highs running 5-7° below average for early June.

A low pressure trough slowly moves into the state, keeping a slight chance of mountain storms in the forecast through this weekend. Lower elevations will see lots of sunshine and a gradual warming trend. High temps return to the 100s as early as Saturday.

Monsoon 2015 officially begins Monday, but no rain is in the forecast. Dry and hot conditions prevail early next week.
