A more stable atmosphere & slightly drier air leads to isolated storms. Rain chances for Tucson stand at 20% during the afternoon/evening hours. Areas south & east of the metro have a 30% chance of storms today.
Today’s Monsoon Prediction Index is 2/10 for Tucson, indicating a low storm risk.
More moisture enters the state tomorrow, helping to increase storm development. Friday features a 40% chance of storms for much of southern Arizona, with highs in Tucson reaching triple digits. Scattered storms remain the call for the first half of the weekend.
Storm development decreases some next week as high pressure builds toward the state. Expect a daily round of isolated storms and highs in the 100s.
