TODAY’S BEAMISH BLOGCAST
THE CLIFF NOTES
Today – Mostly sunny, hot. 106°, west-northwest 10 MPH.
Tonight – Mostly clear. 79°, southeast wind 5 MPH.
Tomorrow – Mostly sunny, hot. 106°, northwest wind 10 MPH.
We’ve lost that Monsoon feeling, at least temporarily.
High pressure over the state suppresses storm development the next 48 hours. Save for a slight chance of a stray storm in eastern Cochise County, mostly sunny skies prevail. Daytime highs run nearly 10° above average today & tomorrow, with Tucson peaking in the 105-107° range.
Monsoon moisture trickles back into the state later this week as high pressure shifts east. There is a 10% chance of storms as early as Thursday, increasing to 40% Friday. Storms decrease to the isolated variety this weekend and early next week with highs remaining in the 100s.
SKY CANDY OF THE DAY
Border bolt, captured a few days ago by Roberto Heredia. As Roberto mentioned in his post, it looks like this lone strike is lighting up the entire city of Nogales, Sonora. I also love the dusk glow beneath the cloud base. Thanks for sharing Roberto!
