According to the NCAA, a football game is delayed when lightning and thunder happens within 6 miles of the stadium (30 seconds between flash & bang). Players and fans are asked to clear the stadium and seek shelter indoors or in the concourse. Once 30 minutes has passed from the last flash or sound of thunder, the game will be resumed.
