High pressure overhead supplies the 62nd triple digit day of 2015 in Tucson. Today’s forecast high of 102° is 12° above average and 2° shy of tying the record for this date set in 2010. Ample sunshine prevails this afternoon through Friday.
Tomorrow features a forecast high of 102°, which would tie the all-time October record high observed in Tucson. Daytime highs cool into the 90s by Friday as gusty winds develop ahead of a trough.
Models continue to show a storm system developing isolated storms early next week. Rain chances increase from 10% Sunday to 20% Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures drop to the mid to upper 80s as this second trough swings through the desert southwest.
