Low pressure south of the border supplies easterly winds up to 30 MPH through this evening. High temps today reach the mid to upper 80s in the Old Pueblo, running a few degrees above average. Mostly sunny skies prevail this afternoon for much of southern Arizona, with a slight shower chance along and east of a Safford-Bisbee line.
Lows tonight drop to the 50s and 60s with increasing clouds.
Partly cloudy skies are on tap for the weekend with gusty winds up to 20 MPH possible Saturday. Winds relax Sunday as the mercury peaks in the low 90s. Models hint at a strong warming trend next week. High pressure near the state drives temperatures into the mid to upper 90s.
