TODAY’S BEAMISH BLOGCAST
THE CLIFF NOTES
Today – Mostly sunny, warm. 94°, northwest wind 5-10 MPH.
Tonight – Mostly clear. 66°, southeast wind 5-10 MPH.
Tomorrow – Mostly sunny, warm. 98°, north wind 5 MPH.
From an Autumn heat wave to a decent shot at scattered storms.
High pressure sliding toward the state supplies afternoon temps 7-9° above average today. Expect mostly sunny skies today with highs in the low to mid 90s. The mercury climbs near record levels Wednesday. Tucson’s forecast high of 98° tomorrow would tie the record set in 1991.
A low pressure center swings toward the state by late week, bringing rain chances and cooler temps. Thursday features a 20% chance of storms, increasing to 40% Friday and Saturday. Highs drop to the mid/upper 80s in Tucson, which is more typical for mid October.
Models hint at a weaker storm system early next week. This keeps in isolated storm chances Sunday and Monday.
