Warmth to wrap the work week.

Daytime highs reach the low 80s this afternoon. Sunny skies prevail today with light winds out of the north. Overnight lows drop to the mid 40s.

High pressure near the Bay Area slides into the state tomorrow, increasing winds for El Tour de Tucson. Easterly winds up to 25 MPH are possible from late Saturday morning through the afternoon. Highs peak in the upper 70s with ample sunshine. Gusty winds redevelop Sunday afternoon as well.

Models continue showing a western US storm system for the middle of next week. It is unclear how much moisture will be present in southern Arizona, but a few showers can’t be ruled out Wednesday. Thanksgiving appears dry for now, but cooler with highs in the mid 60s.

SKY CANDY OF THE DAY

Low clouds at the Linda Vista Trail, taken by Tom Wason a few weeks back. This is one of my favorite hikes in southern Arizona, located at the southeast corner of Oracle & Linda Vista in Oro Valley. Great flora & fauna, perfect for all skill levels.
