Could we make it 5 straight days with temperatures in the 80s?

High pressure departs to the east this afternoon. Afternoon temperatures still run well above average under mostly sunny skies. Metro Tucson highs peak in the upper 70s to low 80s with light winds out of the southwest.

Cloud cover increases overnight, ahead of a slow-moving storm system that impacts the state for the Thanksgiving holiday. Gusty winds up to 20 MPH are possible Wednesday and Thanksgiving. Thursday may also feature a few showers in the eastern half of Cochise County. High temps Thanksgiving day drop to the low 70s, with mid to upper 40s during the overnight hours.

Partly cloudy skies prevail into early next week. Daytime highs by Sunday and Monday reach the upper 60s.
