Wednesday’s Tucson Forecast: Blustery for Thanksgiving travel

Today – Mostly cloudy, breezy. 78°, west-southwest wind 10-20 MPH.

Tonight – Mostly cloudy. 49°, southwest wind 5 MPH.

Tomorrow – Mostly cloudy. 70°, west wind 5-15 MPH.

Blustery, but little weather worries heading to Grandma’s house today.

Gusty winds develop ahead of a cold front. Expect breezes in the 10-20 MPH range out of the west-southwest from late morning through the early evening. Blowing dust is not anticipated along I-10. Cloudy intervals are possible today, while mountaintops could see a stray shower or two.

Thanksgiving features lighter winds & a few isolated showers in eastern Cochise County. Highs drop from the upper 70s today to the low 70s Thursday afternoon. Mostly cloudy skies once again blanket the Sonoran Desert for the holiday.

The storm system responsible for today’s gusty winds stalls out to our north for the weekend. This locks in partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s. Overnight lows drop to the low to mid 40s.
