The National Weather Service has issued Freeze Watch for Metro Tucson, the Tohono O’odham Nation & southern Pinal County overnight. This watch is in effect from 3 AM until 9 AM Tuesday.

A departing low pressure center draws in cool air the next few days. Highs today run 4-6° below average under mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows range from the upper 20s to low 30s in eastern Pima County.

Remember the 4 P’s before heading off to bed tonight. Wrap exposed outdoor pipes, bring in pets & sensitive plants and check in on the elderly to see if they have a warm place to stay.

After reaching the mid 60s Tuesday, lows by daybreak Wednesday drop at or below the freezing mark for southeastern Arizona. High pressure emerging from the Pacific drives a late week warming trend. Highs return to the low 70s Thursday, with gusty winds up to 20 MPH possible. Sunny skies prevail well into the weekend.
