Freeze free and rather warm heading into the weekend.

High pressure building into the state drives temperatures 4-6° above average today. Metro Tucson reaches the upper 60s to low 70s this afternoon under sunny skies. Overnight lows drop to the low 40s.

Peak of the warmth arrives Saturday. Expect highs in the low to mid 70s under partly cloudy skies. Cloud cover decreases tomorrow night.

Sunday features a cold front clipping northern Arizona, which will drop our daytime highs to the upper 60s for much of next week. The Winter warmth may not last into the holiday, as models continue to hint at an unsettled pattern for Christmas.
