Sunshine & warmth wins the day once again.

High pressure over the West Coast remains the main influence on the short-term forecast. Metro Tucson reaches the upper 60s to low 70s this afternoon, running 2-4° above average. Sunshine give way to clear skies overnight, with lows bottoming out in the low 40s.

Peak of the warmth arrives tomorrow and Saturday, with mid to upper 70s likely across Pima County. Saturday’s forecast high of 77° is just 3° shy of the record set back in 2013.

Early next week features temperatures returning to seasonal normals as a cold front crosses the state Sunday. Daytime highs max out in the low to mid 60s, while overnight lows drop to the mid to upper 30s.
