Partly cloudy skies prevail this afternoon. Highs reach the low 60s today, running 2-4° below average. Skies start to clear this evening, setting the stage for a cool night. Freezing temperatures are likely in the outskirts of Metro Tucson by daybreak on Tuesday.
A warming trend ensues after today. High pressure emerges from the Pacific, driving highs from the low 60s Tuesday to the mid 70s Friday. Ample sunshine is expected the remainder of the work week.
Signs still point to a pattern change beginning this weekend. Sunday features an approaching cold front, which may increase cloud cover and winds. Models hint at valley rain/mountain snow early next week, but timing and amounts remain unclear this far out.
