TODAY’S BEAMISH BLOGCAST
THE CLIFF NOTES
Today – Sunny. 87°, N wind 5 MPH.
Tonight – Clear. 49°, SE wind 5-10 MPH.
Tomorrow – Sunny. 86°, NW wind 5-10 MPH.
Will we make it three straight days with record highs?
Friday’s forecast high of 87° would break the record of 86° set on this date in 1988. Daytime highs heading into the weekend run 15-20° above average for mid February. Plenty of sunshine exists thanks to high pressure directly over Arizona.
Weekend high temps should be in the low to mid 80s, while overnight lows bottom out in the upper 40s metro-wide.
Models indicate another ridge of high pressure developing over the Pacific next week. This features drives daytime highs back to record-threatening territory on Tuesday and Wednesday. Peak of the warmth next week arrives Wednesday, with upper 80s possible in Metro Tucson.
