TODAY’S BEAMISH BLOGCAST
THE CLIFF NOTES
Today – Sunny, warm. 90°, SW wind 10-15 MPH.
Tonight – Clear. 55°, SE wind 5-10 MPH.
Tomorrow – Partly cloudy, breezy. 84°, W wind 10-20 MPH.
For only the 5th time in recorded history, the Old Pueblo heads for a 90° February day.
High pressure directly over the state cranks highs 20° above average. Today’s forecast high of 90° in Tucson would break the record of 86° set in 2014. It would also mark the 2nd earliest 90° day in Tucson.
Temperatures cool down slightly the rest of the work week, thanks to a storm system passing north of the state. Increased clouds and gusty winds are possible tomorrow. Friday features mostly cloudy skies, but rain chances remain nil for the valley floors.
Another run at record highs resumes early next week. High pressure reloads off the Pacific coast, driving temperatures into the mid 80s Sunday and Monday. Models indicate a warm & dry end to February for southern Arizona.
