High pressure over the West Coast controls the forecast the remainder of the work week. Tucson nears the 90° mark today through Friday with plenty of sunshine. Overnight lows bottom out in the low 50s across the metro.
A developing cold front starts impacting the state early next week. Sunday marks a transition in the forecast, as cloud cover and winds increase. Scattered showers/mountain snow breaks out Monday and Tuesday, accompanied by highs in the low to mid 60s. Freezing temperatures are possible in outlying areas of Tucson by Tuesday morning.
Exact timing of these showers & how much rain/mountain snow will fall remains uncertain, as is the case with most systems 6-7 days away.
