Back to the 80s today, but a brief cool down looms this weekend.
Daytime highs peak in the mid 80s across Metro Tucson this afternoon. Mostly sunny skies prevail, followed by clear skies overnight. Lows are forecast bottom out in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Friday features the warmest day out of the week, with the Old Pueblo making a run at the upper 80s.
Models continue to show a cold front sweeping across the state Saturday. The storm track has shifted south, which may help bring a few isolated showers & mountain snow to southeastern Arizona. Tucson’s rain chances sit at 10% Saturday, with a better chance of showers across Graham & Greenlee Counties. Gusty winds & much cooler temps are the more likely outcome, as highs for the first half of the weekend run 15-20° cooler than Friday.
Early next week features another run toward the 80s, courtesy of high pressure building off the West Coast.
