Chasing history to start the work week.

Daytime highs run roughly 15° above average. Today’s forecast high of 91° would break the old record of 90° last set on this date in 2001. Mostly sunny skies prevails this afternoon, followed by mostly clear skies overnight.

An approaching cold front sweeps across the state Tuesday, increasing winds and the wildfire danger. Westerly gusts up to 30 MPH combined with low relative humidity and dry vegetation equates to a Fire Weather Watch from tomorrow from 11 AM until 7 PM. Outdoor burning is not recommended from Metro Tucson and points east.

Highs Wednesday reach the low 70s, running 15-20° cooler than this afternoon. Ample sunshine and warmer temps round out the rest of the work week and Easter weekend.
