One more day with light winds across southern Arizona.
Sunshine and westerly breezes up to 15 MPH are expected this afternoon. Metro Tucson peaks in the low 80s today, running 4-6° above average for late March. Overnight lows drop to the mid to upper 40s metro-wide under clear skies.
A cold front clips the Four Corners tomorrow, serving to increase wind gusts up to 20 MPH. These winds increase the wildfire danger east of Tucson, where a Fire Weather Watch is in effect from 12-6 PM Saturday. Breezes take a break Easter Sunday as highs reach the mid 80s.
Next week features a storm system stalling out over the Great Basin. The impacts on the Old Pueblo will be three-fold: gusty winds returning Monday, cooler temps by Wednesday, followed by a 10% chance of isolated showers Thursday. Daytime highs late next week may not even reach the 70° mark.
