The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for southern Arizona from noon until 6 PM today. This includes Metro Tucson, Nogales, Sierra Vista, Douglas and surrounding communities.

Gusty winds up to 30 MPH combine with low relative humidity to create a high fire danger. Outdoor burning is not recommended, including barbeques. Highs today reach the low 80s with mostly sunny skies & patchy blowing dust. Overnight lows bottom out in the upper 50s with increasing clouds.

Tuesday features another round of breezes and a slight chance of mountain showers. Areas south & east of Tucson are under a Wind Advisory tomorrow from noon until 6 PM. Daytime highs Tuesday & Wednesday drop 10-15° versus today, topping out in the upper 60s. A stray shower is possible for the valley floors Wednesday.

High pressure takes over by week’s end, decreasing cloud cover and increasing temperatures. The 80s return for high temps by the upcoming weekend.
