A departing cold front leaves behind westerly winds in the 5-15 MPH range. Partly cloudy skies prevail this afternoon with high temps running 11-13° below average. The Old Pueblo peaks in the mid 60s, dropping to the upper 30s to low 40s tonight.
Thursday and Friday features a weak storm system swinging through the state, which may touch off a few stray showers south and east of Tucson. Daytime highs reach the upper 60s to low 70s to wrap up the work week.
A warming trend ensues this weekend and early next week, courtesy of high pressure building over the Pacific coast. Highs range from the low 80s Saturday to the low 90s Monday. More sunshine is on tap as early as Saturday.
