Tuesday’s Tucson Forecast: Increasing clouds, rain chances

Today – Partly cloudy. 89°, west-northwest wind 10 MPH.

Tonight – Partly cloudy. 56°, southeast wind 5-10 MPH.

Tomorrow – Partly cloudy. 91°, east-northeast wind 5-15 MPH.

Warm today, but umbrellas may become fashionable later this week.

Cloud cover increases ahead of a low pressure trough off Baja California. Partly cloudy skies prevail the next few afternoons with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. Daytime temperatures run roughly 10° above average for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Much of Thursday features mostly cloudy skies. Isolated showers may break out late in the day through the evening hours. A better chance of scattered showers is possible early on Friday as the trough swings through the state. Highs Friday drop to the upper 70s.

Models continue to indicate a second storm system arriving this weekend. Scattered showers return Sunday, along with daytime highs running 5-10° below average. Up to 0.30” rain is possible for Metro Tucson between both storm systems.
