Thursday’s Tucson Forecast: April showers arrive




Today – 10% chance of showers, breezy. 87°, west wind 10-20 MPH.

Tonight – 30% chance of showers. 59°, southeast wind 5-10 MPH.

Tomorrow – 50% chance of showers. 76°, southwest wind 10-15 MPH.



Rain chances return to the Old Pueblo.

Expect a blustery and cloudy Thursday afternoon. Highs peak in the upper 80s, running 6-8° above average. An area of low pressure off Baja California creates gusty west winds up to 20 MPH from mid-afternoon through the early evening hours.

Late afternoon features a 10% chance of showers, increasing to 30% after dinnertime tonight. Scattered shower chances continue Friday, with a 50% chance of rain through the afternoon. Highs tomorrow reach the mid 70s, as rain tapers off tomorrow evening.

A second storm system swings in this weekend, bringing back gusty winds on Saturday. Scattered showers redevelop Sunday afternoon with highs struggling to reach the low 70s. Up to 0.40” rain is possible between the two storm systems over the next 4 days.

Models indicate the potential for a third storm system early next week, introducing isolated shower chances on Tuesday.
