High pressure briefly builds across the state. As a result, expect sunny skies and daytime highs in the mid 80s for Metro Tucson. Winds this afternoon should be around 5-10 MPH out of the west-northwest.
A slow-moving storm system swings in tomorrow, bringing gusty winds back to the forecast. Thursday’s wind gusts peak around 25 MPH, with gusts in the 30-40 MPH range Friday. This storm system stalls out over the Four Corners this weekend, keeping gusty winds in the forecast & possibly producing a few showers in the White Mountains.
Highs drop to the mid 70s Saturday, with 80s returning early next week. The Sonoran Wind Machine starts to decrease by Monday.
