Metro Tucson peaks in the upper 80s under sunny skies. West-northwest winds around 5-10 MPH are possible this afternoon. High pressure slides across the state, rising the mercury into the 90s the rest of the work week. Overnight lows bottom out in the mid to upper 50s the next few nights.
An approaching cold front brings a few changes to the forecast heading into the weekend. Gusty winds develop Friday and Saturday, followed by cooler temps. Partly cloudy skies prevail this weekend, with the Sky Islands possibly seeing a few showers. Valley floors remain dry with highs in the low 80s.
