Highs today through Friday peak in the low 90s, according to 4WARN Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. These temperatures are roughly 10° above average for late April. Lows will also run above normal, as Metro Tucson bottoms out in the upper 50s to low 60s the next several nights.
An approaching cold front marches in by late week, cranking up the winds again. 20-25 MPH wind gusts are possible Friday and Saturday as highs drop to the mid 80s to start the weekend. This front may produce isolated mountain showers, but valley floors stay dry. Breezes may take a break on Sunday, but gusts could return early next week as a new storm system sets up.
Highs early next week reach the low to mid 80s, which is typical for this time of year.
