Monday’s Tucson Forecast: Inching closer to Ice Break

Tonight – Clear. 58°, southeast wind 5-10 MPH.

Tomorrow – Sunny. 91°, northwest wind 10 MPH.



The warmest temps of the year are 48 hours away.

High pressure builds in from the Pacific to start the work week. Daytime highs range from the mid 80s today to the mid 90s Wednesday. Western deserts may come within a degree or two of triple digit heat Wednesday afternoon. Ample sunshine rules the skies through Thursday.

The May warm-up will be short lived. Models hint at a trough approaching late in the week, kicking up gusty winds Thursday & cooling down temps heading into the weekend. Friday through Sunday features highs roughly 10° below average under partly cloudy skies. Gusty winds weaken by Saturday.

As of now, valley floors look dry over the next 7 days. Isolated mountain showers may develop Friday into the weekend.
