Tuesday’s Tucson Forecast: Triple digit threat 24 hours away

Today – Sunny. 91°, west-northwest wind 10 MPH.

Tomorrow – Clear. 63°, east-southeast wind 10-15 MPH.

Wednesday – Sunny & warm. 97°, southwest wind 10-15 MPH.

Not ice breaking heat, but certainly ice melting over the next few days.

The 90s return to the Old Pueblo. Daytime highs range from the low 90s today to the upper 90s Wednesday. High pressure passing through the state keeps the 90s in the forecast Thursday afternoon with ample sunshine.

Gusty winds return late this week, courtesy of a trough moving in from California. Thursday and Friday features winds gusting as high as 40 MPH. Much of Pima, Santa Cruz and Pinal Counties are under a Fire Weather Watch Thursday due to the elevated wildfire danger. Drivers can expect patchy blowing dust on I-10 near Picacho Peak & east of Willcox.

This trough will increase cloud cover and bring relief from the May heat. Daytime highs drop to the upper 70s Friday and Saturday. Mother’s Day may see a few isolated showers develop, although much of southern Arizona should stay dry.
