FORECAST DISCUSSION

This afternoon’s weather doesn’t get much better than this.

High pressure supplies ample sunshine and light winds today. Daytime highs reach the upper 80s, running 4-6° below average. Winds this afternoon peak around 10 MPH mainly coming out of the west.

Atmospheric perfect will be rather brief. A Pacific Northwest storm system slowly passes north of the state tomorrow into early next week. As a result, gusty winds return to the forecast. Expect southwest wind gusts up to 30 MPH Friday through the weekend. High temperatures range from the low 90s Friday to the upper 80s Sunday.

Sunny skies prevails through the middle of next week, with models hinting at gusty winds possibly decreasing by Wednesday.
