Tomorrow – Sunny, breezy. 90°, west-southwest wind 20-30 MPH.
Batten down the hatches for a prolonged period of gusty winds.
A low pressure trough stalls out north of the state. The net result is a daily round of breezes starting this afternoon. Expect southwest winds gusting up to 30 MPH, decreasing by sunset. Patchy blowing dust will be possible near Picacho Peak and San Simon. Daytime highs reach the low 90s under sunny skies.
30 MPH wind gusts remain in the forecast through the weekend as high temps peak in the upper 80s to low 90s.
More of the same is on tap for the upcoming work week. Models hint that the long stretch of gusty winds could come to an end as early as Thursday. There is still no clear signal that triple digit heat is imminent.
