TODAY’S BEAMISH BLOGCAST
THE CLIFF NOTES
Today – Sunny, breezy. 91°, west-southwest wind 15-25 MPH.
Tonight – Clear. 61°, southeast wind 5 MPH.
Tomorrow – Sunny, breezy. 90°, west-southwest wind 15-25 MPH.
Another week with gusty winds & below average high temps.
This afternoon features west-southwest winds gusting as high as 25 MPH. Metro Tucson reaches the low 90s for daytime highs, running 2-4° below average for late May. Much like the last few days, gusty winds decrease around 7-8 PM. Nighttime lows bottom out in the upper 50s to low 60s.
A very similar forecast plays out Tuesday and Wednesday. Sustained 20 MPH winds combine with low relative humidity to increase the wildfire danger by mid-week. For that reason, a Fire Weather Watch is in effect Wednesday for Metro Tucson and points east.
By late week, a low pressure trough stuck to our north finally moves away. Breezes relax Thursday afternoon, but may return by Saturday. Highs for Memorial Day weekend peak in the low 90s under sunny skies.
