An approaching cold front cranks up the breezes again this afternoon. Expect west-southwest winds gusting up to 25 MPH today as highs peak around 90°. Breezes begin to decrease after sunset this evening.
20-30 MPH wind gusts are possible Wednesday, which will increase the wildfire danger. Much of southeastern Arizona is under a Red Flag Warning tomorrow from noon until 7 PM. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
Breezes finally take a break Thursday as the cold front exits the state, giving way to a splendid holiday weekend. Daytime highs range from the low 80s Thursday afternoon to the low 90s Saturday through Memorial Day. Sunshine prevails heading into early next week.
