Mostly sunny skies are expected for eastern Pima County this afternoon. High temps reach the 100s for the 7th time this year in Tucson. A few thunderstorms are possible south and east of the metro today, with eastern Cochise County standing the best chance. Any storm activity decreases after sunset.
Winds aloft from the south continue boosting moisture values tomorrow, which may lead to a few isolated storms in Tucson. Rain chances stand at 20% Thursday, jumping up to 40% on Friday. Primary threats with late week storms is blowing dust & dry lightning strikes. Saturday could feature a few lingering storms.
A low pressure trough sweeps across the state early next week, scouring out moisture. Ample sunshine returns, along with gusty winds Sunday and Monday. Highs hover around the 100° mark.
