TODAY’S BEAMISH BLOGCAST
THE CLIFF NOTES
Today – 60% chance of storms. 86°, east-southeast wind 10-15 MPH.
Tonight – 60% chance of storms. 72°, southeast wind 5-10 MPH.
Tomorrow – 50% chance of storms. 91°, southwest wind 10-15 MPH.
Another round of scattered storms possible across the Sonoran Desert.
All of southern Arizona has a 60% chance of storms through the overnight hours. A slow moving mid-level disturbance south of the border serves as the trigger for today’s activity. Locally heavy rainfall is the main concern, especially if storms continue to develop over the same areas.
Scattered storm chances continue tomorrow, specifically from Tucson and points east. High pressure builds over the state this weekend, displacing the mid-level disturbance to the east. An isolated storm or two can’t be ruled out Saturday and Sunday, but much of eastern Pima County stays dry for the holiday weekend.
Highs peak in the 101-104 range for the 4th of July under ample sunshine. Isolated storm chances return the middle of next week.
