High pressure over northern Chihuahua continues to keep Monsoon moisture south of Arizona. Metro Tucson reaches the triple digits for the 32nd time this year today. Sunshine this afternoon gives way to a mild night, as lows bottom out in the upper 70s.
Some moisture trickles in from Mexico tomorrow, leading to a few storms along the border. Cities like Nogales, Sierra Vista and Douglas stand a 10% chance of storms Wednesday through Friday.The Old Pueblo should stay dry as mostly sunny skies prevail.
Long range models continue to show high pressure moving toward New Mexico this weekend & early next week. This pattern is more favorable for storm development across southern Arizona, thanks to southeasterly winds aloft. A 20% chance of storms returns to the forecast for Tucson Saturday through Monday.
