Wednesday’s Tucson Forecast: Sizzling temps, few storms south




Today – Mostly sunny. 106°, west-northwest wind 10 MPH.

Tonight – Clear. 80°, south-southeast wind 5 MPH.

Tomorrow – Mostly sunny. 105°, west-northwest wind 10 MPH.


Some signs of Monsoon life this afternoon.

Areas along the International Border stand a 20% chance of storms. Metro Tucson stays dry and hot, as highs peak in the 104-106° range. Today marks the 33rd triple digit day of 2016, accompanied by mostly sunny skies.

Isolated border storms remain in the forecast for the remainder of the work week. Meanwhile, triple digit heat and sunshine sticks around in the Old Pueblo.

Winds aloft shift from the west to southeast early next week, which returns moisture to all of southern Arizona. A few metro storms may pop up Sunday, but a better chance of scattered storms is anticipated Monday and Tuesday. Rain chances range from 20% Sunday afternoon to 30% for the early portion of the upcoming work week.
