FORECAST DISCUSSION

If you didn’t get rain yesterday, chances are you won’t this week.

A departing low pressure trough scours out Monsoon moisture. While a stray storm can’t be ruled out the next few days, most of southern Arizona stays dry. Highs this afternoon reach the mid 90s in Metro Tucson, running a few ticks below average for late August.

Expect a 10% chance of storms for the Old Pueblo through Thursday. Monsoon moisture increases slightly heading into the weekend, which will bump storm chances up to 20% on Friday and Saturday. Daytime highs look to peak in the mid to upper 90s.
