Isolated metro storms may develop this afternoon in eastern Pima County. Rain chances range from 10% in Tucson to 30% east of the Old Pueblo. For the 58th time in 2016, Tucson reaches triple digit territory for daytime highs. Storms are expected to fade away after 6 PM.
Labor Day weekend will be hot for Pima County, courtesy of westerly winds aloft scouring out Monsoon moisture. Mostly sunny skies prevail Saturday through Monday as highs peak around 100-102°.
Models indicate some Monsoon moisture returning the middle of next week. Isolated storm chances return as early as Tuesday, with Wednesday possibly featuring the best bet for isolated metro thunder.
