Tonight – Clear. 67°, southeast wind 5 MPH.
Tomorrow – Mostly sunny. 94°, west wind 10 MPH.
So long storms, hello sunshine.
Daytime highs reach the mid 90s this afternoon in Metro Tucson. Mostly sunny skies prevail for the vast majority of the Sonoran Desert. Enough lingering moisture exists to warrant a slight storm chance for the mountains. Overnight lows drop to the upper 60s under clear skies.
A dry westerly flow aloft looks to be the main weather influence heading into the weekend & early next week. This pattern locks in ample sunshine and highs near seasonal normals. Expect a run at the mid 90s for afternoon temps Saturday and Sunday. Nighttime lows bottom out in the low to mid 60s, running below average for mid September.
SKY CANDY OF THE DAY
Early Autumn lights, captured Tuesday by Sean Parker on Mount Lemmon. Fitting way to cap off what likely is the final day of Monsoon storms for the Sonoran Desert.
