Monday’s Tucson Forecast: Unsettled final week of September




Today – 30% chance of showers, windy. 80°, east wind 20-40 MPH.

Tonight – 10% chance of showers, breezy. 65°, east-southeast wind 10-20 MPH.

Tomorrow – 40% chance of storms, breezy. 84°, east-southeast wind 10-20 MPH.


An area of low pressure over Baja California supplies scattered showers and gusty winds today. Metro Tucson stands a 30% chance of showers through late this afternoon. Expect easterly winds gusting as high as 40 MPH through this evening. Portions of Pima, Santa Cruz and Cochise Counties are under a Wind Advisory through 8 PM today.

Daytime highs struggle to reach the low 80s. Lows bottom out in the mid 60s with a 10% chance of showers tonight.

Tuesday features a 40% chance of storms, mainly across Pima and Santa Cruz Counties. A few storms could be on the strong side. Highs tomorrow peak in the mid 80s as easterly winds gust up to 20 MPH. Rain chances decrease to the isolated variety Wednesday through Friday as low pressure lifts north.

Drier and warmer weather is on tap for the upcoming weekend, as Tucson sees afternoon temps peak in the low 90s.
