Expect scattered showers and storms through this evening. An area of low pressure near Rocky Point keeps most of the activity mainly across Pima, Pinal & Santa Cruz Counties. Some storms may be strong, producing small hail, gusty winds and blowing dust. Highs peak in the mid 80s as storms decrease after 7-8 PM.

Enough lingering moisture exists for isolated storms tomorrow and Thursday. Rain chances for Metro Tucson stand at 20% these days, while areas east have a 30% chance of storms. Daytime highs warm up to the low 90s by Thursday. Thunder-free conditions prevail by Friday, which is the final day of Monsoon 2016.

A drier pattern develops in time for the upcoming weekend. Plan on mostly sunny skies and afternoon temps peaking in the low 90s.
