FORECAST DISCUSSION

Chamber of Commerce weather on this early October afternoon.

Highs peak in the mid 80s for Metro Tucson. Sunshine prevails this afternoon, followed by clear skies overnight. Cool temps settle in after dark, as lows bottom out in the low to mid 50s. Daytime highs reach the upper 80s tomorrow and Thursday.

Temperatures return to the low 90s Friday, ahead of a developing Baja storm system. This feature could trigger isolated showers & gusty winds Saturday. Partly cloudy skies settle in early next week with highs hovering around the 90° mark.

Nearing peak up north, captured Monday by AZ Geologic Survey’s Ted Grussing. Closer to Tucson, some patchy colors are starting to show up atop Mount Lemmon.
