Thursday’s Tucson Forecast: From Fall beauty to an increasing storm chance

Today – Mostly sunny. 88°, west-northwest wind 5-10 MPH.

Tonight – Mostly clear. 61°, southeast wind 5-10 MPH.

Tomorrow – Mostly sunny. 93°, east-northeast wind 5-15 MPH.

Fall perfection in the weather department this afternoon, but changes are brewing by the weekend.

Mostly sunny skies prevail across southern Arizona today. Highs peak in the upper 80s for Metro Tucson, which is on par with early October averages. Nighttime lows bottom out in the low 60s under mostly clear skies.

A developing storm system off Baja California impacts the state tomorrow and Saturday. An isolated shower can’t be ruled out along the International Border Friday. Storm chances increase to 30% Saturday, as gusty winds accompany the thunder threat. Sunday looks to be the better weather day of the weekend, featuring lighter winds and more sunshine.

Models indicate an Autumn warming trend next week, as highs soar into the low to mid 90s.
