High pressure off the California coast supplies temps running 6-8° above average today. Metro Tucson peaks in the mid 80s under mostly sunny skies. Light north winds prevail this afternoon, shifting to the southeast overnight.
Election Day looks to be a blustery affair in southern Arizona. A storm system stalls out over northwest Mexico, providing easterly winds up to 30 MPH. Gusty winds continue through Thursday afternoon. Daytime highs drop to the upper 70s mid to late week.
The upcoming weekend features lots of sunshine and highs in the upper 70s. Nighttime lows the next several nights bottom out in the 50s.
