High pressure over the southwest drives temperatures 10-15° above average today. Metro Tucson reaches the mid 80s this afternoon & upper 80s tomorrow. Tuesday’s forecast high of 88° is just one degree shy of tying the record high set back in 1999. Ample sunshine prevails through Wednesday.
A developing cold front crashes the party by late week, cranking up winds and dropping temperatures 20-25°. Highs Thursday and Friday peak in the mid to upper 60s. Nighttime lows bottom out in the upper 30s to low 40s metro-wide. Freezing temperatures are likely Friday and Saturday morning across portions of Santa Cruz and Cochise Counties.
