#SkyCandy of the Week: Super Moon’s last stand

Each week on the blog, I’ll pick one viewer photo for the #SkyCandy of the Week award. The prize? Pride! The closest Super Moon in almost 70 years stole the show earlier this week. This submission was the most popular on my various social media avenues.

That’s what I said: What made the 2016 Super Moon so unique? For starters, it was 30% brigher and appeared to be 14% bigger (remember: the Moon can’t grow). Next time the Moon will be this close to the Earth? 2034. Hope you enjoyed it earlier this week!
