High pressure parked near the state drives temperatures 5-7° above average. Metro Tucson peaks in the mid 70s today under sunny skies. Nighttime lows bottom out in the low to mid 40s.
Thanksgiving looks picture perfect for southern Arizona. Expect mostly sunny skies and highs approaching the upper 70s. Similar temperatures are in the forecast for Friday and Saturday.
Models continue to hone in on a cold front for early next week. Clouds increase Sunday, followed by a 30% chance of showers & mountain snow late Sunday night into early Monday. Exact rain/snow totals remain unclear at the moment. Temperatures range from the mid 60s Sunday afternoon to the upper 50s Monday and Tuesday.
